Government committed to provide Pradhan Mantri Awas to poor: Arun Sao

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao has said that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to providing housing to the poor. During the previous government, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), houses were built at an average of 1680 every month before December-2023, whereas from January-2024 to June-2024, construction of 30 thousand 105 houses has been completed in the state at an average of 5018 every month.
Deputy Chief Minister Sao said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), from January to June this year, a central share of Rs 165 crore 30 lakh and a state share of Rs 94 crore 13 lakh have been approved. A total of Rs 358 crore 22 lakh has been paid to the beneficiaries under the scheme. He said that the construction of houses in urban areas of the state is going on continuously. On getting approval from the central government, housing construction will accelerate in rural areas as well.
