Meeting concludes under chairmanship of Collector Ashish Singh for discussion before finalizing the plan

Indore(Team Newsbuddy) : Indore Metropolitan Region Plan is being prepared by combining the areas of Indore and surrounding Ujjain, Dhar and Dewas. Before finalizing the preliminary draft of this plan, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Collector Ashish Singh for discussion. In the meeting, instructions were given to prepare the regional plan in wider interest.

Chief Executive Officer of Indore Development Authority RP Ahirwar, Joint Director of Town and Village Investment Office Shri Subhashish Banerjee and other concerned officials were present in this meeting held at the Town and Village Investment Office. Professor Ritu Sharma Mehrotra of the educational institution related to town planning was also present in the meeting. In the meeting, a detailed presentation of the primary study done by the Town and Village Investment Office regarding the preparation of the regional plan was made. It was told that the total area of ​​the proposed Indore Metropolitan Region is 8 thousand 676 square kilometers. In addition to Indore district, parts of Ujjain, Dhar, Dewas districts are also included in it. Indore Metropolitan Area is one of the primary metropolitan areas of the country and the need to develop Indore from a metropolitan perspective was also emphasized. Discussions were also held regarding taking action regarding the formation of metropolitan area under Section 4 of Madhya Pradesh Nagar Tatha Gram Nivesh Adhiniyam 1973.
