Fraud of crores in name of getting house, main accused arrested
2 min readRaipur (Team Newsbuddy): Police has arrested the main accused Kheersindur Sagar alias Abhay Yadav, who cheated 33 people of Rs 1 crore in the name of getting independent house and land in Kaushalya Vihar (Kamal Vihar Sector-1) located under Thana Tikrapara area. In this case, the police have also recovered Rs 3 lakh in cash and a mobile phone from the possession of the accused.
In fact, on July 26, 32 other victims including the applicant Sarita Karkade had lodged a complaint at the Tikrapara police station that between the year 2022 and July 2024, Abhay Yadav and his accomplices Chetna Yadav, Nihal Yadav cheated them of about Rs 1 crore by luring them to get a house and land in Kamal Vihar Sector-1. After the fraud, the accused had absconded after closing their office.
In this case, a case was registered in Tikrapara police station under crime number 594/24 section 318(4), 336, 3(5) IPC.
Earlier action taken:
Police had earlier arrested accused Chetna Yadav and Nihal Yadav in this case. Based on their interrogation, the search for other accused was going on.
Arrest of main accused:
The main accused Kheersindur Sagar alias Abhay Yadav, a resident of Orissa, was arrested by the police in Orissa. Rs 3 lakh in cash and a mobile phone used in the fraud were recovered from the accused’s possession.
The accused had purchased a Bullet two-wheeler and a Tata S cargo vehicle from the money he defrauded, which will be seized during police remand. Other accused involved in this fraud are still absconding, for whose arrest every possible effort is being made by the police.
Arrested accused:
Khirsindur Sagar alias Abhay Yadav, father Binod Sagar, age 42 years, resident of village Jatgarh, police station Komna, district Nuapada, Odisha.
In this operation, Station Incharge Inspector Manoj Kumar Sahu, Sub Inspector Dhirendra Banjare, R. Arun Dhruv, Anil Bhoi and Vikram Madhukar from Tikrapara police station played an important role.
