Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel, H.D. Kumaraswamy, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at his residence on September 17. Chief Minister Sai extended a warm welcome to Minister Kumaraswamy, presenting him with a shawl and a memento.
In their discussions, Chief Minister Sai and Minister Kumaraswamy covered a range of topics, focussing on boosting production at SAIL and NMDC. They also emphasised the importance of strengthening coordination between these two public sector undertakings and the state government. Chief Minister Sai highlighted the need to expedite the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of both SAIL and NMDC, with a particular focus on enhancing skill development programs for local youth in the Nagarnar region to improve employment prospects.
It is noteworthy that Minister Kumaraswamy, on a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh, arrived in Raipur after visiting the Nagarnar Steel Plant in Bastar and the Bhilai Steel Plant.
