Reservation facility has been started in train number 20829/20830 Durg-Visakhapatnam-Durg Vande Bharat Express.

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off Raipur (Durg)-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Udyathan Special Express from Raipur station through video conferencing. This train number 20829/20830 Durg-Visakhapatnam-Durg Vande Bharat Express train service will be operated from both ends six days a week (except Thursday).

Speaking during the press conference Senior Division Commercial Manager{Raipur Division} Avadesh Kumar Trivedi informed that other trains running in this section cover the distance between Durg and Visakhapatnam in about 11 hours. Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat will cover the distance between Durg and Visakhapatnam in 8 hours, saving about 3 hours of time. This train connects two major cities like Durg and Visakhapatnam, which are important from the tourism and business point of view. This will promote tourism and economic activities in these areas.

Trivedi said that along with this, this train will also play an important role in the field of medicine and education. Train number 20829 / 20830 Durg – Visakhapatnam – Durg Vande Bharat Express will be available for travel for passengers from 20 September 2024. For the convenience of the passengers, reservation facility has been started in this train. Passengers can make their reservation in Executive Class and Chair Car as per their convenience. This train will stop at Raipur, Mahasamund, Khariyar Road, Kantabanji, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Rayagada, Parvatipuram, Vijayanagaram.

SDCM Trivedi added that fare for approximately 565 kms from Durg to Visakhapatnam in Executive Class will be Rs. 2825 with breakfast, tea and lunch and Rs. 2410 without food. Fare in Chair Car will be Rs. 1565 with breakfast, tea and lunch and Rs. 1205 without food.

The fare for the distance of about 528 km from Raipur to Visakhapatnam in Executive Class will be Rs 2695 with breakfast tea and lunch and Rs 2300 without food. The fare in chair car will be Rs 1495 with breakfast tea and lunch and Rs 1150 without food.
The fare in AC II class in Samta Express running from Raipur to Visakhapatnam is Rs 1265, while the fare in chair car in Vande Bharat Express is Rs 1150, which is also Rs 115 less. Traveling by Vande Bharat Express also saves 3 hours of time.
