First All India Police Weightlifting Cluster Championship

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): In the First All India Police Weightlifting Cluster Championship 2024-25 competition going on at the Mini Stadium of Bhilai, the police team of Uttar Pradesh performed brilliantly and won a total of 12 medals, which include 03 gold, 05 silver and 04 bronze medals. 33 central and state police teams are participating in this championship competition.

The closing ceremony of the First All India Police Weightlifting Cluster Championship Competition will be held on September 27 at 4.30 pm at the First Corps, Chhattisgarh Police Bhilai under the chief hospitality of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. On this occasion, the program will be presided over by Home Minister Vijay Sharma. Sports Minister Tank Ram Verma, MP Vijay Baghel, MLA Durg City Gajendra Yadav will be present as special guests in the program.

In various competitions held today on 25 September, BSF team won 3 gold, 1 silver and 4 medals. Rajasthan Police team won 2 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze and 6 medals, Chhattisgarh Police won 2 gold, 1 bronze and 3 medals, SSB won 2 gold medals, Punjab Police won 4 medals, Odisha Police won 2 medals, CRPF won 02 medals. Maharashtra Police won 01 gold medal. This championship competition has promoted sportsmanship and enthusiasm among police personnel. All the teams participating in the event have made this event very successful with their excellent performance.

In the medal ceremony, Chief Guest Additional Director General of Police Dipanshu Kabra, Superintendent of Police Durg Jitendra Shukla and Regional Head Bank of Baroda Diwakar Prasad Singh along with other senior officials presented medals to the winning teams and players and congratulated them.
