The kindness of Ratan Tata continued till his last days, his last project which was a symbol of his love for dogs and other small animals is the Small Animal Hospital, Mumbai opened in Mumbai. The hospital opened on July 1, 2024 and is treating pets with world-class facilities in its large area of ​​​​98,000 square feet. The hospital has 24X7 emergency services, life-saving equipment for critically ill and injured animals and advanced diagnostic facilities such as CT scan, MRI, X-ray and ultrasound.

165 crore project
This Rs 165 crore project was dedicated by Ratan Tata exclusively for stray dogs and other small animals. Apart from dermatology, dental, ophthalmology and other specialized treatment services, the hospital has in-house pathology labs and separate waiting areas for dogs and cats to provide better facilities to animal owners and their pets.

Ratan Tata was a dog lover
Ratan Tata has many times given a glimpse of his affection for dogs on his social media. He once also appealed for help for a lost dog found at Sion Hospital in Mumbai. At the same time, he also requested the public to protect stray dogs during monsoon and take care of the dogs hidden under their cars so that no accident happens.
