Four new medical colleges to be opened in Chhattisgarh

Tender issued for building construction

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): To promote health facilities in Chhattisgarh, four new medical colleges are going to start from the next academic session. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal informed on Friday that tenders have been issued for the construction of medical college buildings in Manendragarh, Janjgir-Champa, Kabirdham and Geedam in Dantewada. A tender of Rs 1020.60 crore has been issued for these four colleges.
With the opening of these new medical colleges, the total number of medical colleges in Chhattisgarh will increase to 15. The Health Minister said that the buildings of these four colleges will be ready in two years. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said on this occasion that his first priority is to increase health facilities in the state so that the youth of the state as well as people of every section can get maximum benefit and better resources can be made available to the local people for treatment.
