Former Dy. CM Singhdeo raises questions on government-police system on Surajpur incident

Singhdeo raised serious questions on the recent gruesome incident in Surajpur district during a press conference held at Rajiv Bhawan . He said that crimes are increasing continuously in Surajpur, and women and girls are not safe. He also mentioned the possibility of rape of a tribal girl recently, in which the police showed negligence and delayed in registering an FIR. Singhdeo said that the Surajpur incident raises a big question on the state government and the police system.
Question on freedom of district-banished miscreant
Singhdeo also expressed deep grief over the brutal murder of the wife and daughter of Head Constable Talib Sheikh in Surajpur. He said that Kuldeep Sahu, the accused in this heinous murder case, who was a district-banished miscreant, was roaming openly in the city. Singhdeo questioned under whose protection was the exiled person roaming around and why did the police fail to stop him?
Police negligence
Singhdeo revealed that Kuldeep Sahu has committed crimes in the past as well, including throwing boiling oil on a policeman. He strongly criticized the police system for its inaction and said that law and order has collapsed due to the criminals getting a free hand.
Serious allegations on the security system
Singhdeo said that this incident clearly shows that there are serious flaws in the police and administration. He demanded accountability from the Chief Minister and the administration as to how a exiled criminal was roaming freely in front of the eyes of the law and was able to carry out such a big incident.
