2 min read

Indore (Team Newsbuddy) : Residents of Nipania and Pipliya Kumar in Ward Nos. 36-37 are raising alarms over rampant unauthorized construction and illegal mobile tower installations in their neighborhoods. Accusing local authorities of turning a blind eye, the residents are demanding swift and decisive action to curb these violations.
According to locals, certain individuals are flagrantly disregarding approved building plans and zoning regulations by converting residential plots into commercial multi-story buildings. These unauthorized structures are used as hostels, guest houses, studio apartments, and hotels. Furthermore, mobile towers are being installed without adherence to safety norms, posing serious health risks and disrupting basic infrastructure.

Health hazards linked to Mobile Towers

Experts warn that electromagnetic waves emitted by these mobile towers can lead to severe health complications such as cancer, heart diseases, thyroid disorders, brain ailments, and respiratory issues. Vulnerable groups, including children and the elderly, are reportedly experiencing headaches, insomnia, irritability, and memory problems due to prolonged exposure.

Residents have expressed concerns over the adverse impact of these activities on local infrastructure. Essential services like drainage, electricity, and water supply are being stretched to the brink, while the quality of life in the area is deteriorating. Environmental damage is also a growing concern.

K.K. Jha and Rajesh Tomar, Convenor and President of Ward 36-37 Rahwasi Mahasangh, have called on the administration to halt these illegal activities immediately. They also urged strict punitive measures against negligent officials and a comprehensive plan to prevent future violations.

The residents stressed that Indore, India’s cleanest city and a symbol of urban excellence, must not let such irregularities tarnish its reputation. They have appealed to the authorities and public representatives to protect their neighborhoods and restore compliance with laws and regulations.
