186 buses going to Gujarat, Rajasthan and Delhi area will be operated from ISBT
Meeting of bus operators concludes under the chairmanship of Collector Ashish Singh
Indore (Team Newsbuddy): The ISBT located at Kumedi in Indore is almost ready. About 186 buses going to Gujarat, Rajasthan and Delhi area will be operated from this bus stand equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. A meeting of bus operators was held here today under the chairmanship of Collector Ashish Singh to discuss the operation of the bus stand. In this meeting, consensus was reached regarding the operation of the said buses.
Smart City CEO Divyank Singh, Indore Development Authority Chief Executive Officer RP Ahirwar, Regional Transport Officer Pradeep Sharma along with other officers and bus operators were present in the meeting. It was told in the meeting that the ISBT located at Kumedi is almost ready. The operation of this bus stand will start from next January. Collector Ashish Singh said that a plan has been prepared to operate buses going to Gujarat, Rajasthan and Delhi area from this bus stand. This bus stand is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The bus stand has many facilities for passengers and buses. It is beneficial to operate buses from this bus stand in view of the convenience of passengers and bus operators as well as improvement in the traffic of the city. He told that the buses going to the said areas are currently being operated from here and there. Many buses pass through the busiest routes of the city, due to which traffic is disrupted. In the meeting, the bus operators were told about the plan of bus operation. In the meeting, consensus was reached regarding bus operation from ISBT. Bus operators also gave their suggestions about the plan. On the basis of the suggestion, it was told that Indore Development Authority will provide space to vehicle operators near ISBT to park the buses. For the convenience of passengers, connectivity of means of public transport like city bus, auto, e-rickshaw etc. will be done to ISBT.
