Bilaspur (Team Newsbuddy) : Ninu Itiera, General Manager, South East Central Railway, retired after her glorious railway service of 35 years. Itiera, a 1988 batch Indian Railway Operating Service (IRTS) officer, successfully served as General Manager of South East Central Railway for 7 months.
Ninu Itiera started her railway service as Assistant Operating Manager in Palghat Division of Southern Railway. Subsequently, she has held various important positions including Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer, Deputy Chief Operations Manager, Senior Divisional Operations Manager, Chief Public Relations Officer, Chief Passenger Operations Manager, Chief Commercial Manager and Chairman, Railway Recruitment Board, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai Division of Southern Railway.
During the tenure of Itiera, South East Central Railway achieved many important milestones and touched new heights. During her tenure, there was a lot of progress in passenger amenities and services in South East Central Railway. Along with this, South East Central Railway achieved many important achievements in important rail development projects related to infrastructure and passenger amenities. After the retirement of Ninu Itiera, Tarun Prakash, Principal Executive Director (Signal & Telecommunication)/Development, Railway Board will take over as General Manager of South East Central Railway.
