Indore (Team Newsbuddy) : Samir Banerjee of America and Alistair Gray of Great Britain entered the finals of the singles category of the ITF World Tennis Tour M- 25 (Men) $30,000 tennis tournament organized by Madhya Pradesh Tennis Association under the aegis of the Indian Tennis Association and sponsored by Godrej Properties Ltd. and Yellow Diamond . Dakshineshwar Suresh and Parikshit Somani of India won the doubles title.
In the first semi-final of the singles category of this prestigious international tennis tournament being played at Indore Tennis Club, Samir Banerjee of America continued his strong game and caused a big upset and defeated third seeded Oliver Crawford of Great Britain 6-3, 6-4 in straight sets and moved towards the title. In this match that lasted for one hour and 24 minutes, Samir hit 8 aces due to his powerful service and also earned 10 break points. Displaying a strong forehand and excellent baseline game, Samir never let Oliver move ahead and by breaking the service continuously, won the set and entered the final. Where he will face Alistair Gray of Great Britain .
In the second semi-final, Alistair also caused an upset and defeated fourth seeded Florent Bok of France 7-5, 6-0 to secure his place in the final. In the first set, Florent certainly made Alistair struggle, but failed to win the set and in the second set, Alistair showed his strong game and did not let Florent win even a single game. The final match of the singles category will be played on Sunday from 11 am.

Suresh and Somani got $ 1762 and 25 ITF points for becoming champions
India’s Dakshineshwar Suresh and Parikshit Somani won the doubles title of the M- 25 (men) $ 30,000 tennis tournament . The final match was between Great Britain’s Alistair Gray and France’s Mathis Ehard . But France’s Mathis was unable to play the match due to health reasons, due to which he did not play the final match and the Indian pair was declared the winner. The awards were given by Indian Tennis Federation Secretary General Anil Dhupar, tournament director Arjun Dhupar and referee Anton D’Souza. The pair that won the doubles title received $ 1762 and ITF 25 points . The runner-up pair received $ 895 and 16 ITF points .
