MP’s Saanvi Shah close to junior girls billiards title

Indore (Team Newsbuddy): MP’s Saanvi Shah showed her strong game and defeated the Sub Junior category winner L. Shruthi of Tamil Nadu and made it to the finals of the National Junior Girls Billiards Competition under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh Billiards and Snooker Association.

MP’s Saanvi Shah defeated L. Shruthi of Tamil Nadu by 125-116 points and came close to winning the first title for MP. Saanvi was ahead of Shruthi from the beginning and was successful in winning this match in one hour format. Shruthi also tried to move ahead and hit many good shots, but she could not win. Now Saanvi will face Snehthra Babu of Tamil Nadu. Snehtra Babu defeated Anya Patel of Gujarat 128-118 in an interesting match in the second semi-final. Snehtra Babu showed her best game in this semi-final match and kept taking big break points continuously. Due to which Anya did not get a chance to move ahead.
In the quarter finals, Saanvi Shah defeated Jiana Rego of Maharashtra 116-56,
Snehtra Babu defeated Charu Laddha of MP 153-54,
L. Shruthi defeated Soumya Thakur of MP 181-102,
Anya Patel defeated Natasha Chaitanya of Karnataka 158-61.

Ishika, Arancha, Anya win

In the league matches of the senior women’s snooker competition being played at the Billiards Academy at Nehru Stadium, MP won. Ishika Shah of Tamil Nadu defeated Samiksha D of Karnataka 2-0,
Anupama Ramachandrane of Tamil Nadu defeated Samridhi D of West Bengal 2-0,
Arancha Sanchez of Maharashtra defeated Shivani of Telangana 2-0,
L. Shruthi of Tamil Nadu defeated Pt. Sumiti Dammani of Bengal 2-0,
Anya Patel of Gujarat defeated Pooja Galondia of Rajasthan 2-0
