Our state is passing through the silver jubilee year of its formation. If we evaluate the development of Chhattisgarh, then from 1st November 2000 till now, positive changes have taken place in various fields of our state. The progress of Chhattisgarh in the fields of education, health, industry, road, transport, communication, agriculture etc. is unforgettable. The contribution of women, youth, labourers, farmers, businessmen of this state is important to reach this position.
Dr. Raman Singh of Bharatiya Janata Party, who was in power for 15 years out of the last 25 years, was the Chief Minister and now Vishnudev Sai is the Chief Minister during this period. He implemented many schemes to take the state forward. The people of the state gave him full support in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections and tirelessly helped in bringing the state to the category of advanced states of India.
The people of Chhattisgarh deposited more and more money in the government treasury for the welfare of the state in the form of tax. The collection of a large amount from GST in the state shows that the public has no hesitation in giving a large part of their earnings for the state’s welfare. Meanwhile, the state government is constantly taking measures to raise the standard of living of the residents of the state. Chhattisgarh, which is rich in minerals like iron, bauxite, coal, limestone, diamonds etc. and forests and water, has immense potential for development in the future.
For this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself is trying to make Chhattisgarh a well-developed state. India’s leading industrialist and Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, along with Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, recently announced an investment of Rs 75,000 crore in the field of energy, cement industry and social development in the state in the next four years. Due to the all-round industrial progress, communication revolution, improvement in education and health, easy transportation facilities in our state, 4000 MW of additional power generation will be required in the next four years. Therefore, the opening of a power generation centre by Adani Group with an investment of Rs 60,000 crore will fill that gap.
Similarly, it is in the interest of the state that Adani Group has invested Rs 5,000 crore at the right time to meet the need to increase cement consumption due to the increasing construction work in Chhattisgarh. The provision of Rs 10,000 crore by Adani Foundation for promoting education, health, skill development and tourism in the state will create employment opportunities in Chhattisgarh. With all this happening, another important area in Chhattisgarh is sports and players, which is being given relatively less importance.
Currently, there is no dearth of talent in Olympic, non-Olympic and extinct sports in Chhattisgarh, but due to lack of infrastructure and sports academies, the emerging and talented players of our state are not able to establish their identity at the international level. In the social development of Rs 10,000 crore released by Adani Group, money should also be kept for the benefit of sports and players. Considering the possibility of organizing the 39th National Games in Chhattisgarh in the coming year 2027, provision should be made for building infrastructure and opening academies for general category and Divyang players in major sports like athletics, swimming, canoeing, cycling, fencing, gymnastics, sailing, taekwondo, weightlifting, wrestling, judo, mallakhamb, rollball which have a high number of medals. It is expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself thinks of making India a Vishwa Guru in…
