Khunte leaves Congress, party suffers big setback
1 min readRaipur (Team Newsbuddy): State Congress Vice President PR Khunte has left the party. He alleged that the expectations of the public from the Congress have not been fulfilled. Therefore, he has resigned from the primary membership of the party.
Khunte was an MLA from Palari, and he became an MP from Sarangarh Lok Sabha seat. Later he left BJP and joined Congress during Jogi’s rule. Khunte was also embroiled in the MLA horse-trading scandal. Later he separated from the Jogi camp of Congress.
Satnami Samaj leader Khunte was made the president of the Scheduled Caste Department, and is currently the vice-president of the state Congress. He has criticized the Congress’s policy regarding leaving the party. Khunte said that the purpose for which the state was formed does not seem to be fulfilled. Regarding his future political move, Khunte only said that he will soon take a decision on forming a new party or joining the BJP or any other party.
