Raipur(Team Newsbuddy): Once again the command of Bharatiya Janata Party in Chhattisgarh will be with MLA Kiran Singh Dev. Kiran Singh Dev has been re-elected as BJP state president. Today his name will be officially announced. After the nomination for the state president on January 16, it was decided that Kiran Singh Dev would be re-elected as the president. Bharatiya Janata Party’s National General Secretary Vinod Tawde will announce the new state president today on January 17. With this, the organization election of BJP will be completed.

Three nominations were filed for the state president from 12 districts of Chhattisgarh. All these three nominations were filed in the name of Kiran Singh Dev. During the nomination process, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, state in-charge Nitin Navin and senior BJP leaders and officials were present. On 21 December 2023, Kiran Singh Dev was appointed as the state president of BJP. He was nominated for the first time, while he is being elected for the second time. Kiran Dev has previously held many responsibilities in the organization. Coming from the general category, Kiran Dev represents the tribal-dominated Bastar division.
Who is Kiran Dev Singh?
Kiran Dev is an MLA from Jagdalpur, he has also been the mayor of Jagdalpur Municipal Corporation. In the 2009 urban body elections, Kiran Dev became the mayor by defeating the Congress candidate. Kiran Dev, a resident of Jagdalpur, has been active in politics for more than 30 years.
He started his political career as a worker of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. Later he became the district president of BJYM (Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha) and after that he also got a chance to become the BJP district president of Bastar.
Kiran Dev belongs to a landlord family and is a lawyer by profession. After taking a BSc degree in 1985, he did LLB in 1989 and then started practicing law. Along with this, he also does farming. Kiran Dev Singh’s wife Reena Singh Dev is a government teacher. Kiran Dev has a clean image.
