Jagdalpur (Team Newsbuddy): After the encounter on the border of Sukma and Bijapur, the security forces conducted an intensive search operation in the area, in which they have got great success. Sukma DRG (District Reserve Guard) soldiers have detected a tunnel and dump material of Naxalites between Tumrel and Talperu river.
Inside the tunnel, the Naxalites were trying to harm the soldiers using new technology. Glass bottles were being used to make bombs. After this big disclosure, the security forces have increased vigilance in the search operation in the area.
In the anti-Naxal search operation, on the information of the presence of Maoists in the forests of Tumrel, Sigampalli, Pujarikanker, Malempenta in the border areas of Thana Pamed, Usur, Basaguda under Bijapur district, a joint team of DRG Bijapur, DRG Sukma, DRG Dantewada, STF, Cobra 204, 205, 206, 208, 210 and CRPF 229 battalion went on an anti-Maoist operation. During the operation, there were several intermittent encounters between the security forces and the Naxalites from 9:00 am on January 16.
Hidma ,Deva fled in fear , soldiers returned with 12 Naxals bodies : More than 2000 soldiers carried out a successful operation against Naxalites in Bijapur, Dantewada and Sukma districts. During this, 12 Naxalites were killed, including 5 women. The soldiers recovered a huge amount of weapons, explosives and Naxal literature and demolished the Naxal arms factory.
In a successful operation in the strongest base area of Naxalites in Bastar, more than two thousand soldiers of Bijapur, Dantewada and Sukma districts killed 12 Naxalites including five women of the Naxalite battalion and Central Regional Committee (CRC) Company No. 2 .
The Naxalite arms manufacturing factory has also been demolished by the soldiers. The killed Naxalites are being identified. According to the police, the encounter of the jawans was directly with the battalion of Naxalites and top Naxalite cadres.
Frightened by the operation of the jawans, notorious Naxal commander Hidma, who is a Central Committee member and in-charge of the only Naxalite battalion in the country, and battalion commander Deva Barse, both left their fellow Naxalites and fled from there.
Inspector General of Police Bastar Range Sundarraj P. said that information was received about the presence of top Naxalites in the forests of Tumrel, Sigampalli, Pujarikanker, Malempenta bordering Telangana in Pamed police station area.
