Playing with future of children by imposing code of conduct: Gopal Sahu

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Aam Aadmi Party’s state president Gopal Sahu has said that the state government failed to conduct urban body elections and panchayat elections in the state on time. After the term of public representatives at the urban body and panchayat level ended, the state government has appointed administrators everywhere and now when the time for the annual examinations of the children is about to come, the government is going to impose a code of conduct for the elections. Teachers will be put on duty in the elections, sometimes teachers will go for training, sometimes for voting and sometimes for counting. Due to which the studies of children will be affected. Also, at the same time, people prepare for 10th, 12th board exams, NEET, JEE and many entrance exams, imposing a code of conduct now will definitely affect the entire education session of the children. The Election Commission and the Chief Minister should think about this.

At the same time, the state chief spokesperson and social media in-charge of Aam Aadmi Party, Suraj Upadhyay says that pre-board exams are going to be held in the state from January 20 to January 28. About 2 lakh teachers will be on duty in the elections. And while there are 56 thousand vacant posts of teachers in the state, it is clear that there is a shortage of teachers to teach in all the schools. On top of that, if teachers are put on duty for elections, then their education this year will be disrupted.

He said that the Aam Aadmi Party is very serious about the education of children and expects the Election Commission and the Chief Minister to keep in mind the future of the children and conduct elections in the summer vacation without imposing the code of conduct for urban body and panchayat elections.
