10 policemen on line duty, comedian kidnapping case

Delhi (Team Newsbudddy) : Meerut SSP Dr. Vipin Tada in UP has disbanded the SWAT team on the failure of the SWAT team in the comedian Sunil Pal kidnapping case. All the policemen involved in the team have been sent to the line. There is a stir after the action. Comedian Sunil Pal was kidnapped from Meerut on December 2. FIR was registered in Mumbai. Since the kidnapping took place from Meerut, it was later transferred to Lalkurti police station here. SSP gave the responsibility of disclosure to the SWAT team. Meerut police appeared helpless in front of the action of Bijnor police.
Police arrested Sonu and Roshan Bijnor police arrested former councilor Sarthak Chaudhary alias Ricky, Azim, Saibuddin, Ankit Pahadi, Shiva, Shashank, Alok alias Gola. Meerut police could only get hold of Arjun. The remaining task was completed by the arrest of Lavi Pal. For many days, the SWAT team of Meerut district kept chasing Lavi.
The location was found in Punjab but before the Meerut police could reach, Lavi fled. Bijnor police arrested him on Sunday night. If police sources are to be believed, then the senior officers including the SSP seemed angry with the SWAT team. Its effect was also visible. The SSP disbanded the SWAT team. SWAT team in-charge Arun Mishra, sub-inspector Atul Kumar, head constable Ashutosh Kumar, Khurshid, Pratap, Akash Chaudhary, besides constables Manoj, Gaurav, Govind etc. who were members of the team, were put on line duty. SSP Dr. Vipin Tada said that this is a normal process. A new energetic team will be prepared in the form of SWAT team. The district has got many new policemen. The team will be formed soon.
