Gujarat’s Dhruv is Junior Snooker National Champion

Indore (Team Newsbuddy): Gujarat’s Dhruv Patel has won the junior snooker title at the 91st National Billiards and Snooker Championship, defeating Chandigarh’s Ranveer Duggal 4-3 in the final.

The final match was played at the Smash Hall of the prestigious Yashwant Club in Indore. Dhruv Patel of Gujarat faced stiff competition from Ranveer Duggal of Chandigarh. Dhruv won the match 4-3 (34-63, 69-27, 52-44, 38-47, 54-43, 5-60, 67-53) in a seven-frame match.

After losing the first frame, Dhruv made a strong comeback, winning two consecutive frames and taking the lead. However, Ranveer also put up a tough fight, winning the fourth frame and leveling the score 2-2.

In the fifth frame, Dhruv won, while Ranveer won the sixth frame, leveling the score 3-3. In the seventh and decisive frame, a thrilling battle was seen between Dhruv and Ranveer, with neither willing to give up. However, Dhruv played some excellent shots and proved his dominance on the table, winning the title. Ranveer fought till the end but couldn’t secure a win.

Mahendra Chouhan of Madhya Pradesh secured third place by defeating Sumer Mago of Maharashtra 4-1 (11-60, 77-17, 75-64, 67-53).

In the semifinal matches, Dhruv Patel defeated Mahendra Chouhan of Madhya Pradesh 4-3 (43-67, 3-67, 47-49, 38-60, 68-35, 20-87, 69-45) in a thrilling match. Ranveer Duggal defeated Sumer Mago of Maharashtra 4-2 (69-60, 77-68, 56-65, 1-103, 78-18, 63-15).

Madhya Pradesh’s Bharat , Anurag win in Denior Six Red Qualifying Round:

In the qualifying round matches of the senior six red snooker event, Madhya Pradesh’s Bharat Sisodia defeated Avinash Kumar of Delhi 4-3, Anurag Giri defeated Rohit Malhotra of RSPB 4-1, Arvind Goud of Telangana defeated Kunj Patel of Gujarat 4-1, Imran Khan of Madhya Pradesh defeated Saad Sayyed of Maharashtra 4-1, Dhvaj Haria of PSPB defeated Mahesh Aditya of Karnataka 4-0, Anshul Pandey of Chhattisgarh defeated Ravishankar Prasad of Bihar 4-3, Rahul Sachdev of Maharashtra defeated Aardsh Verma of West Bengal 4-3, and Neeraj Kumar of Railways defeated Divyanshu Sharma of Delhi 4-2.
The main round matches of the senior six red event will begin on Wednesday.
