National Games-bound wrestling team undergoes 15-day training camp
1 min readIndore (Team Newsbuddy): The Madhya Pradesh Wrestling Association, in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh government and the Madhya Pradesh Olympic Association, has organized a rigorous training camp for the 14 selected wrestlers from Madhya Pradesh at the Vijay Bahadur Vyamshala in Indore.
Under the leadership of Olympian Pappu Yadav, all the wrestlers will be trained in physical and technical skills. The camp is being overseen by MIC member and sports in-charge Nandkishore Pahadiya, Vikram Award winner Omprakash Khatri, secretary Suresh Yadav, Govind Gujar, Vikas Yadav, international coach Vinay Kumar, Mayor Kesari Railway’s Sachin Yadav, and several renowned wrestlers.
The wrestlers are undergoing rigorous training, with 3 hours of practice in the morning and 3 hours in the evening. Madhya Pradesh’s Shivani Pawar, a 4-time national champion and gold medalist at the National Games, along with international wrestlers Pooja Jat, Hansabaen Rathore, and Udit Patel, are part of the team. Olympian Pappu Yadav has expressed hopes of winning medals at the National Games.
The team will participate in the National Games in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, from February 7 to 14, with only 14 wrestlers from Madhya Pradesh selected to participate based on their performance in national-level competitions.
