Indore’s Dev brings laurel to MP, wins B’ton international tourney

Cabinet Minister Silavat felicitates Dev at Prakash Hockey Club

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): Talented player Dev Kumawat has brought glory to the entire state by winning the international badminton tournament held in Iran. Dev was honored by Cabinet Minister Tulsi Ram Silavat at a simple ceremony organized by Prakash Hockey Club.

Minister Silavat said that Dev’s success has inspired other young players in the city and state. The state government is providing better facilities to promote sports among children in Indore. If needed, we will provide further assistance.

According to Devkinandan Silavat, Secretary of Prakash Club, Dev is currently training at the Pullela Gopichand Academy under the aegis of the Sports Department. Dev defeated Lee Yu Jei of Chinese Taipei in the final, winning the trophy in 55 minutes with a score of 21-15, 14-21, 21-19.

Present during the ceremony were Dev’s father Chanki Kumawat, Mandal President Murli Vyas, Ashok Yadav, Prem Prajapati, Anis Khan, Raja Kalra, Balkrishna Raikwar, Raju Singh Chauhan, former international cricketer Sunil Joshi, Gyanendra Pandey, Rehan Ansari, and Akshat Yadav. The program was conducted by Prathmesh Raje Silavat.
