Police’s crackdown on red terror, 3 Naxalites arrested

Narayanpur (Team Newsbuddy): Police has got a big success during the search operation. Three Naxalites involved in the IED explosion and firing incident in Kodliyar forest have been arrested by cordoning off the forest. All of them were working as active associates in the Naxalite organization. This case is of Kohkameta police station area.

A case has been registered against the arrested Naxalites in Kohkameta police station under sections 191(2), 191(3), 190, 61(2), 111(2)(b), 103 BNS 25, 27 Arms Act and other sections.

A joint team of DRG, STF and ITBP, BSF left for anti-Naxal operation in Kohkameta police station area on the intelligence of the presence of Maoists in village Dhurbeda, Gumarka, Kodliyar and surrounding areas. During this time, during the search operation in Kodliyar jungle hill, the Naxalites opened fire with the intention of harming the security forces and looting weapons. The arrested Maoists-Ayatu Ram Usendi, Dhoba Vadda and Dhoba Ram were involved in the incident. ITBP’s R. Pawar Amar Shamrao and R. K. K. Rajesh were martyred in the incident. Whereas R. 693 Anil Kunjam and Bastar Fighter R. 1058 Arvind Sarpe were injured.
