Budget 2025: Announcement of reduction in prices of six life saving medicines

New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy): Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented Budget 2025 in the Lok Sabha on Saturday. She said that the prices of life saving medicines will come down.

The Finance Minister said that custom duty was reduced to reduce the prices of medicines for serious diseases like cancer. 6 life saving medicines and 36 cancer medicines were made tax free.She said that 7 tariff rates will be removed from customs. 57 medicines will be included under free medicine.

Earlier, the Finance Minister said at the beginning of the budget speech, “Our economy is the fastest growing economy among all major economies. Our track record of development work and structural reforms in the last ten years have attracted everyone’s attention globally.”

This is the second full budget of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third term. While Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the eighth consecutive general budget
