Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama to get Z category security

New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy). Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama will now get Z category CRPF security. The Home Ministry has taken this decision after the report of the Intelligence Department (IB). The Intelligence Department had submitted a report to the Home Ministry expressing the possibility of threat to the Dalai Lama. After this, the Home Ministry issued an order to increase his security.
Born as Lhamo Thondup in 1935, the Dalai Lama has been considered the reincarnation of his predecessor Tibetan religious leader since the age of two. He was recognized as the Tibetan religious leader as the 14th Dalai Lama in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, in 1940. In 1950, China attacked Tibet. The Dalai Lama came to India in 1959 after a failed rebellion against China. Since then he has been living in exile in the Himachal Pradesh city of Dharamsala. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989.
The Dalai Lama has received monastic education and has been fighting for justice for Tibetans for years. He has traveled to six continents and more than 67 countries. It has been more than 62 years since the Dalai Lama came to India after China’s occupation of Tibet.
