IAS Madhu Rani is Delhi CM’s secretary, many seniors get new responsibilities

New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy): The BJP government in Delhi has reshuffled the work of officers as soon as it took power. Many officers were given important responsibilities in the CM office. In the first major reshuffle in the bureaucracy under the new BJP government in Delhi, 2008 batch IAS officer Madhu Rani Tewatia has been appointed secretary to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. This reshuffle was done by the Services Department under Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena.
Tewatia has previously served as Additional Chief Executive Officer in the National Health Authority under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The transfer order issued by the Services Department of the Delhi Government said that 2011 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officers Sandeep Kumar Singh and Ravi Jha will work as Special Secretaries to the Chief Minister.
Ravi Jha is currently serving as Delhi’s Excise Commissioner while Singh will join the Delhi government after serving as Private Secretary to the Union Culture and Tourism Minister. According to the order, 2007-batch IAS officer Azimul Haque has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Delhi Waqf Board. Haque had earlier served as Member (Administration) in the DJB while holding the additional charge of the Delhi Waqf Board. Meanwhile, 2014-batch officer Sachin Rana has been given the additional charge of Member (Administration) in the Delhi Jal Board. Rana was posted as Additional Chief Executive Officer in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi.
