New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy) : Everyone likes to travel, but often the dream of traveling abroad remains unfulfilled due to visa complications. There are two most important documents for foreign travel – passport and visa. While a passport can be easily made in India, a visa is issued by the country you want to visit. This is the reason why many times travelers have to cancel their plans due to non-availability of visa. However, now there is relief news for Indians. There are 58 countries in the world where Indian citizens can easily travel without visa or under the visa on arrival facility. This list includes many popular and beautiful tourist destinations like Indonesia, Maldives, Thailand, Bhutan, Mauritius.
According to the Henley Passport Index 2025, India’s passport rank has fallen to 81st place this year. In 2024, this rank was 80. According to this ranking, India gets a limited number of visa-free countries, especially for developed countries like Europe, America and the United Kingdom, visas are still required.
The major countries that offer visa-free or visa-on-arrival facility are as follows:
Asian countries: Bhutan, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Cambodia

Central Asia and Gulf region: Qatar, Kazakhstan
This list includes many countries, which are not only beautiful but also affordable for Indian tourists. Traveling has become even easier due to the facility of visa on arrival.
Tips for travelers:
Although visa-free or visa on arrival facility is available, one must get the latest information from the embassy or official website of the concerned country before going on a trip as visa rules keep changing from time to time.
Even though the ranking of the Indian passport has fallen a bit, the facility of visa-free travel in 58 countries is still a golden opportunity for Indian travelers. This opportunity is especially good for those who are planning a foreign trip for the first time and want to avoid the visa process.
