RCM strongly condemns gross violation of human rights in Odisha

Buvneshwar(Team Newsbuddy): Rashtriya Christian Morcha (RCM) strongly condemns the shocking and inhuman incident in Odisha where a young couple was brutally punished for being from the same gotra. As per reports, the couple was forced to plough the field like oxen and beaten with whips before being expelled from the village.
As per reports, the incident took place a few days ago at Kangaramjodi village under Sikarpai Panchayat of Kalyansinghpur block of Rayagada district of Odisha. This barbaric act widely circulated in a viral video is a gross violation of fundamental human rights and an affront to human dignity.
Such acts of vigilante justice and public humiliation are not only morally reprehensible but also violate the principles of equality, liberty and justice enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
RCM stands in solidarity with the victims and demands immediate action for this heinous crime.
We urge the Odisha State Government and law enforcement authorities to:
- Conduct a thorough and impartial investigation of the incident.
- Ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice under the fullest extent of the law.
- Provide immediate protection, assistance and rehabilitation to the victims.
- Take proactive steps to prevent such acts of mob violence and ensure that individual rights and liberties are respected.
