Save me, don’t sell me anywhere else’: Durg woman kept as hostage in Oman

The victim woman has made a video and posted it on social media. On the basis of the woman’s video, the victim’s husband complained to the police. Police have registered the complaint and started investigation. The woman has told that she was brought to Oman for a job.
According to the information, Deepika Jogi (29) has gone to Oman to work as a house maid. Deepika has released a video saying that she is a resident of Bhilai city and is stuck in Oman. He told that he has been trapped here with the promise of a good job. Now she is not able to return back to India from here even if she wants to. After beating him, a demand of Rs 2 to 3 lakh is being made for his return. He has expressed fear that soon he will be sold to someone else. She told that the woman in whose house she was working was continuously torturing her.
Deepika’s husband Mukesh Jogi told the police in his complaint that he is in Oman since May 30. She was sent for the job of house maid through a placement agency in Kerala. Mulla Mohammad Imran Khan, resident of Khursipar, Abdul, resident of Hyderabad, had talked about getting the work of cooking. After this, Deepika was first taken to Hyderabad from Durg and then from there she was sent to Muscat. Zainab took Deepika from Muscat airport to Hafiza’s house. Zainab has already gone to Muscat in the name of providing work to many people of India.
Deepika used to send Rs 25 thousand to her family every month, but was not sending money for the last three months. After this the woman had no contact with her family. There has been a stir after posting on social media. Mukesh told that Deepika works as a cook in the family of Munir and Hafiza in Oman. Durg city ASP Abhishek Jha said that on the basis of social media post and after the complaint by the woman’s husband, the police has started investigating the case.
