New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy): Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that India is not going to be afraid of the statements of Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir. India has taken a tough stand on the recent statement of Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir regarding nuclear attack. The Foreign Ministry clearly stated on Monday that repeatedly mentioning nuclear weapons and waving them as a threat has been an old habit of Pakistan, but India is not going to be afraid of such statements.

Foreign Ministry official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that our attention has been drawn to the alleged comments made by the Pakistani Army Chief during his visit to America. Waving nuclear weapons is a habit of Pakistan. The international community can draw its own conclusions on the irresponsibility inherent in such comments, which further reinforce deep doubts on the integrity of nuclear command and control in a country where the army is in cahoots with terrorist groups.

Foreign Ministry also implicated America in the statement

While mentioning America in the statement, it was said, it is also a matter of regret that such statements are being made from the soil of a country with which India has good relations. India has already made it clear that it will not bow down to nuclear blackmail. We will continue to take all necessary steps to protect our national security.

Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir threatened India with a nuclear attack from Florida, USA. While talking to expatriate Pakistanis in Florida, Munir had said that Pakistan is a nuclear-rich nation. If anyone tries to drown Pakistan, we will take half the world with us. Along with this, the Pakistan Army Chief also mentioned the Indus River. He said, India is going to build a dam on the Indus River. First let the dam be built, then we will break it with a missile attack.
