The Congress Party was dreaming of coming to power again in the Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections, but the party collapsed in front of the clever election management of the BJP. The situation became so bad that even Deputy Chief Minister CS Singh Deo could not save his seat. With this, the ruling Congress party was reduced to 35 seats from 68 seats. However, meanwhile, veteran Congress leader TS Singh Deo has surprised everyone by announcing that he will not contest the Lok Sabha elections.
In fact, former Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh TS Singh Deo had reached Pathalgaon in Jashpur district on Sunday, where he visited the residence of former Congress District President Pawan Aggarwal. During this, TS Singh Deo, while addressing the media, said that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are near, Congress workers are working to ensure victory in the elections. However, along with this he clearly said that he will not contest the Lok Sabha elections.
Answering the questions of the media, he said that there is a good possibility of Congress winning more than half the seats in the Lok Sabha in Chhattisgarh state. But efforts will be made to win all the seats. He said that Bastar is with Congress. At the same time, Congress is in a strong position in the Assembly also. He said that due to health reasons I will not contest the Lok Sabha elections at present.
