Over 60.19 lakh ration card renewal applications submitted online

Food Department’s mobile app simplifies ration card renewals//

Raipur. The work of renewing all 77 lakh ration cards is currently underway under the public distribution system in Chhattisgarh since January 25. As of February 16, a total of 60 lakh 19 thousand 196 ration card holders have successfully submitted renewal applications. People are utilizing the online facility provided by the Food Department for this purpose, submitting applications through the dedicated mobile app.

It is worth mentioning that the ration card renewal process will continue until February 25 this year. To facilitate the renewal process, a new mobile app has been developed by the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department. This app can be downloaded from the Play Store or the Food Department’s website http://khadya.cg.nic.in. Ration card holders can submit their renewal applications online conveniently using this app. For beneficiaries without Android mobiles or in areas with no mobile connectivity, the option to submit applications is available at government-run fair price shops.
