Pure drinking water reaches 75 percent homes in state

Raipur. Women from Bastar to Surguja region will no longer need to go to Panghat to fill water for their domestic use, nor will they be forced to drink water from Jhiriya. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has guaranteed to provide tap water to every house. Work on this is going on rapidly. For this, a provision of Rs 4 thousand 5 hundred crore has been kept in the budget of Chhattisgarh government.

Jal Jeevan Mission has been started across the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide clean water to every household. Under this mission, 55 liters of tap water will be provided to every family for their daily needs. This campaign is being completed rapidly in Chhattisgarh. Tap water is reaching 49.98 lakh houses in the state. Under this mission, the work of providing tap water to 75 percent of the houses is being done successfully. Work is going on rapidly to provide tap water to the remaining 25 percent houses.
Jal Jeevan Mission is a revolutionary campaign to fulfill the resolve of a developed India. Children’s health will be protected through this mission. There will be relief from water borne diseases occurring in children and adults. At the same time, women will also get more time for their household work. Women will be able to use this time for their economic activities.
