In fact, on the 16th day of Chhattisgarh Assembly budget session, BJP MLA Rajesh Munat raised questions on liquor sale and policy in the Bhupesh Baghel government and alleged irregularities.
BJP MLA Munat said, the previous Congress government made liquor cases, but did not send anyone to jail in this case. He said, two types of liquor were sold inside the shops. Liquor was sold in government shops against the rules, but no action was taken against the placement agency. In five years, only two have been sent to jail in 157 cases of adulterated liquor.
MLA Munat asked, liquor was sold in 568 shops at a price higher than the rate. The government has suffered a loss in revenue in 2019-20. He demanded from the Minister whether he will conduct an inquiry in this matter. Rajesh Munat said, ED is investigating this matter but that is a different matter. There is no action against those who loot the revenue of Chhattisgarh government?
