Indore’s culinary splendor takes Center Stage at Anant Ambani, Radhika Merchant’s Pre-Wedding extravaganza

Indore, the undisputed culinary capital of India, is set to dazzle guests with its gastronomic treasures at the highly anticipated pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar. Renowned for its rich culinary heritage, Indore will showcase its iconic dishes, including the legendary Poha Jalebi, Indori Kachori, Bhutte Ka Kees, Khopra Patties, and Upma, leaving guests spellbound by the city’s culinary mastery.
A team of about 60 chefs from Indore’s esteemed Jardin Hotel has been specially flown to Jamnagar to curate a delectable feast for the attendees of this grand celebration, marking the union of one of Asia’s wealthiest families. Notably, this culinary squad from Jardin Hotel consists solely of female chefs, adding a unique touch to the event.

In addition to the sumptuous Indori cuisine, the menu will feature a diverse array of dishes from Parsi, Thai, Mexican, and Japanese culinary traditions, along with a variety of tantalizing pan-Asian delicacies. Amit Sinha, the director and co-founder of Jardin Hotel, Indore, shared that throughout the three-day festivities, approximately 2,500 dishes spanning global cuisines will be prepared to tantalize the taste buds of the guests.

Breakfast will feature no fewer than 75 delectable dishes, while lunch will offer more than 225 options, and dinner will showcase a staggering 275 varieties. Guests seeking a late-night indulgence will also find themselves spoilt for choice, with an array of 85 items available for a midnight snack from 12:00 am to 4:00 am.

An exclusive Indori Sarafa food counter will be a highlight for guests, offering traditional delicacies such as Indori Kachori, Bhutte Ka Kees, Khopra Patties, Upma, and Indori Poha Jalebi. Sinha emphasized that the Jardin Hotel chefs, already stationed in Jamnagar, have brought along authentic spices to ensure an unmistakably Indori flavor in every dish.

Securing the catering contract for the pre-wedding festivities of India’s richest family is not just an honor for Sinha but for the entire culinary community of Indore, often hailed as the gastronomic capital of India. Originally from Bihar, Sinha established the Jardin Hotel in the Nipania locality of Indore four years ago, during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Within a short span, Jardin Hotel Indore has emerged as a premier dining destination for food enthusiasts from across Indore and Madhya Pradesh. Buoyed by its success, Sinha has expanded the Jardin Hotel brand to Abu Dhabi and Raipur, with plans for another branch in Indore on the horizon.

The star-studded guest list for the pre-wedding festivities includes luminaries from the tech world such as Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, and Microsoft’s former CEO Bill Gates, alongside titans of finance like Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick and Bank of America Chairman Brian Thomas Moynihan. Noteworthy Bollywood celebrities, including members of the Bachchan family, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh, are expected to grace the occasion.
