Panja carpet made in Hatwa Khas of Sidhi is making waves

Sidhi (Team Newsbuddy) :Panja carpets being made in village Hatwa Khas of development block Sinhawal of Sidhi district are now being supplied all over the country. The work of making Panja carpet started about 20 years ago in Hatwa Khas and surrounding villages and now this business is touching the figure of Rs 1 crore per year.
Collector Saket Malviya and Chief Executive Officer District Panchayat Rahul Namdev Dhote have made special efforts to get this work selected as One District One Product. 40 women associated with Livelihood Mission and their families are directly involved in this work. Nisha, a member of Shilpi Self-Help, says that through the Livelihood Mission, we have displayed our products in the International Trade Fair, New Delhi, Surajkund Trade Fair, Haryana and Bhopal Haat Fair. The public has praised this product a lot. There is a good demand for these products in the fairs organized across the country.
Women associated with self-help groups say that our group is receiving continuous demand from Freedom Emporium Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. The women of the self-help group say that with the help of the Livelihood Mission, we all have established ourselves as members of the Lakhpati Club.
