IIM Indore, University of Glasgow unveils global leadership programme for entrepreneur

Indore(Team Newsbuddy) : Recognizing the dynamic landscape within which entrepreneurs, particularly those in family-owned businesses, operate, the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) and Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, have joined hands to unveil an innovative initiative: the Global Leadership Development Programme for Entrepreneurs.
This groundbreaking certificate programme is meticulously crafted to equip entrepreneurs with the latest management practices, empowering them to seize global growth opportunities while fostering socially responsible leadership with a global perspective. Tailored to address the unique challenges encountered by entrepreneurs, the programme aims to harness opportunities for sustainable growth and ensure trans-generational continuity.
Expressing enthusiasm over the collaboration, Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, emphasized the critical need for entrepreneurial skills in today’s fast-evolving business landscape. He underscored the programme’s five-stage structure, designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the global arena.
The programme unfolds with a five-day on-campus residential session at IIM Indore, followed by three months of online live classes jointly conducted by IIM Indore and the University of Glasgow. The third stage offers a five-day immersive experience at the
University of Glasgow, providing participants with invaluable insights from leading UK-based faculty and entrepreneurs. The journey concludes with three days of sessions at IIM Indore, consolidating learning and preparing participants for entrepreneurial triumphs in the global landscape.
Prof. Eleanor Shaw, Head of Adam Smith Business School, expressed delight over the collaboration, highlighting the joint ambition to design a programme tailored for ambitious entrepreneurs and family business leaders. She affirmed that the programme would offer practical insights and access to proven approaches and toolkits to foster entrepreneurial development and growth in India.
Prof. Robbie Paton, Deputy head of Adam Smith Business School, and the Director of Development, emphasized the programme’s focus on leadership, innovation, digitization, and growth strategies, catering to young and ambitious entrepreneurs aspiring to build
regional or global enterprises.
He emphasized the long-standing relationship between the institutions, which extends to both research and teaching, underscoring
their shared commitment to fostering impactful business development.
