Congress demands judicial inquiry by High Court judge into Koyalibera Naxal encounter.

The Congress delegation, led by State Congress President Deepak Baij, submitted a memorandum to the Governor demanding a judicial inquiry under the supervision of a sitting High Court judge into the so-called police Naxalite encounter that took place in Koyalibera police station area of Kanker district.

The complaints of the villagers are very serious and sensitive. The allegations have been leveled against the police. Considering the seriousness of the allegations, it is necessary that a high-level impartial investigation should be conducted into this matter. The Congress Party demands that the encounter be investigated under the supervision of a sitting High Court judge.
