E-vehicle charging station starts in Raipur, vehicle will charge in 45 minutes, 18 rupees per unit to be paid

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy); Electric vehicles are being purchased across the country and the government is also supporting it because electric vehicles will also reduce the cost of diesel and petrol and will also help in controlling environmental pollution

These electric vehicles are charged at home but charging stations are being built to charge them outside and now these charging stations have started in our Chhattisgarh as well, on Thursday, charging stations have been started at 4 places to charge e-vehicles in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh.

Electric charging stations have been set up at Jayastambh Chowk, Multi Level Parking, ISBT Bhatangaon and Municipal Corporation Headquarters of the district.

One station will be able to charge 3 vehicles at the same time, the general public will have to pay Rs 18 per unit to avail this facility.

According to Rajesh Sharma, Project Incharge Officer of Raipur Municipal Corporation, the capacity of these charging stations is 142 kilowatts. Chargers with 3 guns have been installed at all the stations. All are fast and AC chargers, due to which the electric vehicle will be fully charged in less than 45 minutes at the charging station.

Officials said that in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation, there are plans to install 10 more charging stations in the city, which will be installed soon.

Preparations are also underway to install charging stations near Subhash Stadium, Raipur Smart City Office Complex, Jawahar Bazaar Parking, Laxmi Kapad Market Pandri, Central Library, Zone 10 Office, LIC Housing Shankar Nagar, Anupam Nagar Garden, Gandhi Udyan Parking and Amanaka, so that electric vehicles can be charged at these places also by paying a low rate per unit.
