2 min read

Raipur. Senior spokesperson of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Surendra Verma has said that as soon as the double engine government of BJP came to power in Chhattisgarh, the rights of the common people are being snatched away. After the formation of Vishnudev Sai government in Chhattisgarh, the allocation of ration shops’ stock has been continuously reduced for the last two months without physical verification. According to the official site of PDS, the total ration allocation was cut by 37 percent in the month of January, after which a huge cut of 44 percent has been made again in the allocation of ration for the month of February, the figure for March has not been released yet. Not only this, out of 13771 shops in Chhattisgarh, only 5786 shops are active, the remaining 7985 shops are non-active. The Sai government of Bharatiya Janata Party should clarify why 58 percent of ration shops in Chhattisgarh are non-active? Also, what is the basis of reduction of almost half the quantity of ration for the last two months in the monthly allocation without physical verification? Senior spokesperson of the State Congress Committee, Surendra Verma has said that the Congress government is maliciously cutting all the schemes that were made for the betterment of the common people. The Congress government implemented the Food Security Act. During the Corona epidemic, the previous Congress government first implemented the scheme of providing free food grains, which was followed by the Modi government at the Center. In Chhattisgarh, the previous Bhupesh government used to give ration to BPL card holders at the rate of 7 kg per unit, that is, there was a system of giving an average of 35 kg of food grains per card in the Congress government in Chhattisgarh, but as soon as the double engine government came, it has been reduced from 7 kg to 5 kg per unit. The Vishnudev government of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Chhattisgarh is robbing 10 kg of food grains per ration card of the eligible beneficiaries of Chhattisgarh every month.
Senior spokesperson of the State Congress Committee, Surendra Verma has said that after the Bharatiya Janata Party government came to power in Chhattisgarh, the purchase of Kodo, Kutki, Ragi and Maize has also been improved maliciously.
