Women will become self-reliant if Congress forms government at the centre

Raipur.(Team Newsbuddy): Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Surendra Verma said that the Congress has pledged to consider one woman from every poor family as Mahalakshmi and deposit Rs 1 lakh annually in her account. Women are the ‘bank of the house’, every rupee that goes to them is used to strengthen the family and a strong family is the basis of a strong society. Now the woman will not need to beg or bow her head in front of anyone. The woman of the house will be able to shoulder the burden of education, earnings and medicine on her own shoulders. One lakh in the hands of women also means insurance to deal with any sudden disaster that comes in front of the family. This scheme will also make women entrepreneurs in every village by helping in starting a large number of small investment businesses. Congress believes in investing in the aspirations of women for the bright future of the country. Mahalakshmi is not just a scheme but a guarantee of better health, security, respect and prosperity of half the population.

Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Surendra Verma said that after the youth, the Congress has given five guarantees each for the prosperity of women and farmers. The Congress party promises the women of the country that the Congress government at the Centre will implement the Mahalakshmi scheme for women.

1. Under this scheme, every woman will get Rs. 1 lakh per year, i.e. Rs. 8333 per month. The BJP government in Chhattisgarh will give only Rs. 1000 per month to mothers and sisters, i.e. Rs. 12000 per year. The Congress government will give 8 times more than this to women.
2. The Congress government will recruit half of the women in central jobs.
3. The central assistance to Aasha workers, Anganwadi and Mid-Day Meal workers will be doubled if the Congress government is formed.
4. A legal assistant will be appointed in every panchayat to protect the legal rights of women.
5. Hostels will be built for working women in all the district headquarters of the country.
