Iran begins attacks on Israel with drones, missiles

Tehran: Iran has carried out large-scale attacks on Israel with drones and missiles. It is being described as its retaliation after the attack on its consulate in Syria.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has said that the attack was carried out with the aim of targeting ‘specific targets’.

At the same time, Israeli army sources have said that more than 100 drones have been launched. According to CBS News, the US has shot down some drones.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) says that ‘threats are being stopped wherever necessary.’ The Prime Minister of Israel has called a meeting of the War Cabinet.

Following the attack, the sounds of sirens were heard across Israel and a huge explosion was heard in Jerusalem as Israel’s air defence systems dropped several objects in the city.
