Raipur,New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy): The bodies of 29 Naxalites have been recovered in the encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Kanker. The big thing is that 15 out of 29 are female Naxalites. Regarding this matter, Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the security forces have got great success in Chhattisgarh. Ever since Modi became the Prime Minister, the BJP government has continuously campaigned against Naxalism and terrorism. When the BJP government was formed in Chhattisgarh, that campaign gained more momentum.
Amit Shah further said that we started setting up camps from 2014. After the formation of the government again in 2019, 250 camps have been set up in about three months. 80 Naxalites have been killed in Chhattisgarh, more than 125 have been arrested and more than 150 Naxalites have surrendered. Shah said that I am confident that this action against Naxalites will continue and in a very short time, under the leadership of PM Modi, we will uproot Naxalism from the country.
On the Kanker Naxalite encounter, IG Bastar P Sundarraj said that there was an encounter between security forces and Naxalites which lasted for about 4 hours. DRG and BSF teams cordoned off the area and killed 29 Naxalites. Among the Naxalites killed, there were 15 women and 14 men. A large amount of weapons and ammunition have been recovered from the spot. The post-mortem of the bodies of the Maoists is going on.
In fact, on Tuesday, there was an encounter between the police force and Naxalites in Kanker in which 29 Naxalites were killed. Naxalite commander Shankar Rao was also killed in the encounter, on whom there was a reward of 25 lakh rupees. It is said that there was a reward of Rs 25 lakh on the dreaded Naxalite Shankar Rao who was killed. There was also a reward of 25 lakh rupees on the two killed female Naxalites Lalita and Mandvi. Shankar Rao, Lalitha and Mandavi were DVC rank leaders.
