Incident after 12 o’clock at night, declared dead in hospital

JDU leader Saurabh Kumar had gone to a reception party of his friend Ajit Kumar’s brother in Badiyaan Kol village late on Wednesday night. It is being told that around 12 o’clock at night, he was returning to his home Shiv Nagar with his friend Munmun Kumar from the reception party. Saurabh Kumar was sitting in his car, when the criminals came on a motorcycle and fired several bullets. Saurabh Kumar was shot in the head and his friend Munmun Kumar in the stomach and hand. As soon as they were shot, they fell down there. Meanwhile, the criminals fled from there. As soon as the information of the firing was received, the people nearby reached the spot. People admitted both of them to the hospital for treatment, where the doctor declared Saurabh Kumar dead, while the injured Munmun Kumar has been admitted to a private nursing home in Kankarbagh, Patna. His condition remains critical.
