Advertising agencies to conduct structural investigation of hoardings, submit report to RMC
2 min readRaipur,(Team Newsbuddy): Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra held a meeting of advertising agency operators and Municipal Corporation officials regarding safe installation of hoardings in the city. He directed all advertising agencies to check the structure of the hoardings installed by them and submit their report to the Municipal Corporation. He said in the meeting that advertising agencies should ensure that an accident like Mumbai does not happen in
Raipur. It is noteworthy that 14 people have died due to the fall of a promotional hoarding in a storm in Mumbai. At the same time, 74 people have been injured in it. The Municipal Corporation Commissioner asked to ensure the participation of all advertising agencies to prevent such an incident in Raipur.
Commissioner Mishra asked the directors and representatives of more than 90 advertising agencies present in the meeting held at Raipur Municipal Corporation headquarters to get the structural examination of the hoardings installed by them done and submit the certificate related to the structural examination of all the hoardings to the Municipal Investment Department of the Municipal Corporation within a week. He instructed to ensure that no untoward accident of any kind occurs in Raipur city due to hoardings. He asked to take all necessary safety measures to prevent hoardings from falling or any kind of accident.
The effective implementation of advertising policy in Raipur Municipal Corporation area was also discussed in the meeting. Necessary instructions were given to the agencies in this regard. Municipal Investor Nishikant Verma, Assistant Engineer Ashutosh Singh and Deputy Engineer Vikas Sahu were also present in the meeting.
