BJP government is not able to give rice to poor:Congress

Raipur(Team Newsbuddy): Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the BJP government is not able to give rice to the poor. It is embezzling the rice of the poor. Due to lack of rice in sufficient quantity in fair price shops, both APL and BPL people are wandering for rice. During the Congress government, 50 quintals of rice was given to each fair price shop for APL beneficiaries, which has been reduced to 15 quintals. At the same time, the share of BPL cardholders is also not being given in sufficient quantity. BPL beneficiaries are also wandering for rice.

Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the Congress government used to give 35 kg of rice per month to BPL beneficiaries per card and has also given two months of rice free of cost. As soon as the BJP government was formed, the 35 kg rice per month was reduced to 5 kg per person and the rice of APL card holders was reduced. This is the anti-poor character of the BJP government. In just 4 months, the BJP government has messed up the rice, this is pointing towards a big scam. During the 15 years of BJP rule, there was a Rs 36000 crore Naan scam. The rice of the poor was looted by making 20 lakh fake ration cards. Now the same situation is being created once again.

Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the state government should send sufficient amount of rice in the BPL and LDL quota and distribute rice at the rate of 35 kg per ration card given during the Congress government and distribute 5 kg rice separately for each person given by the Center.
