Man arrested for cheating of Rs 30 lakh to earn profit in crpto currency
2 min readRaipur (Team Newsbuddy): Police has arrested Amit Kumar Thapa, an interstate accused from Odisha, who cheated Rs 30 lakh by luring to earn more money in crypto currency. The accused had lured to earn 10 percent monthly profit. Earlier two more cases have come to light. In this, three and a half crores have been cheated.
Applicant Sushant Kumar, resident of Aviva Green City Muzgahan, had lodged a report at Muzgahan police station that through one of his acquaintances he had met Amit Kumar Thapa, resident of Kantabanji (Odisha). At that time Amit Thapa was accompanied by his other companions.
All together showed Sushant the plan of business crypto currency and told that his other companions run M/s MBE Commerce Private Limited Company. Which is in Surat (Gujarat). Every month, the money deposited in it will get 10 percent monthly profit.
Becoming deceived, the applicant deposited a total of 30 lakh rupees in different accounts, dates and installments as told. After this, when the applicant asked for his money back, Amit Thapa and his other companions kept procrastinating by saying that the money will come any day, but did not return the money.
On the report, the joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and Muzaffarnagar Police started investigation of the accused by interrogating the applicant regarding the incident. Along with technical analysis, investigation was also being done through other means. During this time, important information was received regarding the presence of accused Amit Kumar Thapa involved in the incident, on which the police team arrested him.
