7 Naxalites killed in encounter, many arrested

Dantewada (Team Newsbuddy): 7 Naxalites were killed in an encounter between security forces and Naxalites on Thursday on the border of Bijapur, Dantewada and Narayanpur districts. The force has left the forest with the bodies of two Naxalites. Many Naxalites have also been arrested. Operation Surya Shakti Point Five was being run by eight hundred soldiers in the forest of Rekawaya. Earlier, ten Naxalites were killed in Tekameta.
Actually, the Narayanpur police had received information about the presence of Naxalites in Platoon Number 16 and Indravati Area Committee in the border area of Naranpur-Bijapur. Today at 11 am, a joint team of Narayanpur-Dantewada-Bastar DRG, Bastar Fighters and STF went out on an anti-Naxal search operation. Meanwhile, seeing the soldiers, the Maoists hiding in the forests started indiscriminate firing.
The security personnel of all three districts took charge and retaliated. During this, about 7 uniformed Naxalites were killed. The soldiers have recovered 7 Naxal weapons and other items from the spot. There is also information about many Naxalites being injured. At present, intermittent firing is going on.
