Free electricity up to 300 units in Chhattisgarh

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme has also started in Chhattisgarh. Due to the code of conduct, people are being registered but solar plant connections are not being given. After June 4, common people will get the benefit of this scheme. With this, every family will be able to get up to 300 units of electricity free. They will also be able to sell the remaining electricity. There is tremendous enthusiasm among the people of Chhattisgarh regarding PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme and in a short time 3,363 houses have got themselves registered. Out of these, 1,941 applications have also been accepted. 1,422 applications have not been accepted. The total number of installed rooftop solar plants under this scheme is 36. Under this scheme, preparations are being made to install more than one lakh solar plants in the state. REC Limited has been made the nodal officer in Chhattisgarh. Common domestic consumers can install rooftop solar plants of capacity up to their approved load. District-wise nodal officers have been appointed by Chhattisgarh State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL) for the RTS program.

This much will be the cost of a solar plant

Under the PM Suryaghar Yojana, 60 percent of the cost of a two kilowatt solar plant will come in the account of every family as subsidy. Similarly, for a three kilowatt solar plant, an additional 40 percent subsidy will be given on one kilowatt plant. For example, if you install a three kilowatt plant, it will cost around Rs 1.45 lakh. Out of that, the government will give a subsidy of Rs 78 thousand. The government has arranged for cheap bank loans for the remaining Rs 67,000. Banks will be able to charge interest only 0.5 percent more than the repo rate.

This is how you will get subsidy

Subsidy applicable for domestic families: Rs 30,000 for one kilowatt capacity, Rs 60,000 for two kilowatt capacity and Rs 78,000 for three kilowatt and more capacity. The central government has launched the National Portal for PM Suryaghar Yojana. In this, you can fill in information like consumer number of your electricity connection, name, address, state and how much capacity plant you want to install. Accordingly, a solar plant will be installed at your place and you will get subsidy accordingly. PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 13 February 2024. Under this, solar plants are to be installed on the roof in one crore houses in the country. People are to be provided free electricity up to 300 units. The Union Cabinet approved the PM-Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme on 29 February 2024 with an outlay of Rs 75,021 crore.
